with the new Spitting Image getting closer I was wondering if Chris Barrie will be doing the voices for many of the puppets this time around. It would make sense that he might get involved again as he in the original program he did an lot of the impressions.
I doubt I'll find time to watch it, but I have fond memories of the original. The 80s were such a fertile time for political satire. Now, you'd struggle to make things seem much more ridiculous than they are.

I watched the first episode and while the puppets were great the comedy was not. Complete bollocks when it come to laughs, I have to think younger and 20XX comedian writers are just not funny. They just can't do satire. I can't wait for my Britbox subscription to run out so that I don't have to watch any more.
We don't need a new series of Spitting image - just turn on the news.
I watched the trailer and thought it looked fun, then watched the first episode. I think it's a case of them cramming all the good bits from a series into the trailer and I won't be watching the rest.
I do wander why they released this onto Britbox without giving it and ITV release. Sure it's a way to get more customers but maybe they didn't want to risk putting something controversial on a mainstream channel right now.
